As the alien vehicle disappears from sight, a computer piloted top-secret US Military spaceship tries to follow it. This is the maiden voyage of the 74-foot-long Rummager, a vehicle that had just been completed a few days ago. Having no hope of their craft keeping up with the alien ship, the ground controllers are forced to conclude that Mars is its most likely destination, which is the general direction the vehicle's headed. The controllers upload instructions to Rummager, setting a course for the red planet.
